TI AMO, THE ART OF PRESERVING MEMORIES

For centuries, jewellery has expressed feelings, preserved memories, and kept close what we love most. And few pieces represent this idea as well as locket pendants, relicarios in Spanish, filled with history and meaning.

The word relicario comes from the Latin reliquiae, meaning “remains” or “what is left.” Originally, it referred to small cases intended to preserve sacred relics. Over time, its meaning evolved, and these small pieces of jewellery also began to hold personal memories. Inside, they concealed miniature portraits, locks of hair, tiny letters, and other keepsakes belonging to loved ones.

During the Victorian era, in the 19th century, lockets became especially popular. They became symbols of love, memory, and nostalgia. They were given as tokens of affection and worn close to the heart, secretly holding what mattered most.

Inspired by this tradition, our Ti Amo pendant was created as a reinterpretation of the classic locket. A piece of jewellery shaped like a small envelope that opens to hold a note, a photograph, or whatever you want to preserve forever. On the back, the phrase Ti Amo (“I love you” in Italian) is engraved.

This locket pendant is an invitation to turn a memory into something you can carry with you every day. A little secret, a declaration of love, or a small piece of someone you love.
