Maria's trip to the heart of Turkey!

Istanbul, a captivating city where East meets West, is a stunning blend of historical grandeur, rich tradition, and modern vibrancy at the heart of Turkey. Our designer and creative director, María, was deeply inspired by the skilled artisans, intricate mosaic tiles, and delectable gastronomy that surrounded her.

During her two years there, María found her home in the artistic Cihangir neighborhood, known for its vibrant community of artists, writers, and expatriates. It quickly became her sanctuary. She cherished starting her mornings at her favorite breakfast spot, then wandering through nearby Çukurcuma, a charming area brimming with antique shops waiting to be explored. To escape the city's hustle, she often retreated to Arnavutkoy, where picturesque wooden houses line the Bosphorus, offering breathtaking sunsets and delicious seafood dining.

As she meandered through the enchanting streets, every corner revealed inspiration—the joyful spirits of the people, the scent of spices, and the vivid colors that surrounded her. Shades of turquoise and gold painted the skyline, while narrow lanes were adorned with colorful hanging lights and vibrant flower-filled terraces. María also delighted in visiting the city’s museums, where the rich history and artistry of Istanbul came to life.

Her journey through this incredible city is nothing short of breathtaking. She tries to go back once a year ever since and finds in Istanbul a reminder of how tradition shapes us in countless ways and the profound beauty that emerges from it.
